The Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab has organized a day of optional workshops to teach and discuss applications of persuasive technology. There are two concurrent tracks of three 2 hour workshops each for a full day of learning. The tracks and workshops are:

 

Developing persuasive technology applications - How-to workshops: bring application ideas & projects in progress

  1. Using Social Media for Healthy Behavior Change (9:30-11:30am) - Kendra Markle, Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab
  2. Design with Intent: Using Design Patterns to Develop New Persuasive Technology Applications (12:30-2:30pm) - Dan Lockton, Brunel University, London
  3.  Using the Fogg Behavior Model, Behavior Grid and Behavior Wizard for Persuasion (3-5pm)Jason Hreha and Kendra Markle, Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab

Persuasive technology trends & futures - Discussion workshops: issues in applying persuasive tech

  1. Persuasion Profiling: Adaptive Persuasive Systems and Stable Individual Differences (9:30-11:30am) - Maurits Kaptein and Dean Eckles
  2. Workshop on Ethics of Persuasive Technology: Envisioning Systemic Impacts (12:30-2:30pm) - Janet Davis, Dept. of Computer Science, Grinnell College
  3. New Methods and Data Sources for Persuasive Technology Research (3-5pm) - Dean Eckles

 

Cost: 79 euros. Net profits will be donated to autism research. Those who pre-registered in the last month are guaranteed a spot, but should register here to pay. You can move between tracks during the day. You don't need to be registered for the main conference to attend (but you do need to be registered for the workshops).
